The Word

John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

Author, C.J.  Mahaney tells us in his book "The Cross Centered Life"

"First importance.  The Bible tells us that, while there are many different callings and many different areas of  service in the kingdom of God, one transcendent truth should define our lives. One simple truth should motivate our work and impact each part of who we are.

Christ died for our sins.

If there is anything in this life that we should be passionate about, it should be the gospel.  And I do not mean only about sharing it with others.  We should be passionate in thinking about the gospel, meditating on it, being delighted in it, permitting it to transform the way we look at the world.  Only one thing should be of first importance to each one of us.  And only the gospel should be.”

John 4:8 For His disciples had gone away into the city to buy food.

9 Then the woman of Samaria said to Him, "How is it that You, being a Jew, ask a drink from me, a Samaritan woman?" For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans.

10 Jesus answered and said to her, "If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, 'Give Me a drink,' you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water."

  • Jesus Christ died on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins which is eternal death and separation from God and man.
  • Jesus Christ has risen from dead to prove himself to be the Son of God and that to all those who believe in Him have hope that they to will rise and live with Him forever.
  • Jesus Christ ascended to heaven and prays for all of humanity that we would repent and believe on Him and love Him the way He loves us.
  • Jesus Christ promised and will return, at the end of time, for all of us who believe and trust Him.

We do not come from the goo! We did not just slime our way into exsistence!

We were created to live in harmony, peace and in love with one and other, and with our loving heavenly Father. That’s the hope, the destiny, the truth for all who believe.

Teams

We received our first group this year from Ridgeland, Wisconsin on Jan. 16, lead by Marv Prestrud. The group was small, only six people, but they accomplished a great deal. The ladies were able to get quite a bit of painting done at our house while the men completely finished the church at San Rafael Caleria. They installed hand rails, the gravity flow water system, finished up the bathroom and finished up some wood work.

Three weeks after the completion of the church we had day of celebration to give thanks to God. We had a great worship service and afterward we shared a meal.

Ministry

On February 6, 7 and 8 an apostolic team from the Fraternidad did a three day conference ministering to the churches in Cuatzacualcos, Ver. The team consisted of Miguel Flores, from the state of Veracruz, Sergio Fernandez from the state of Oaxaca, Omar Carbajal from the state of Guerrero, and missionaries Mike Chellis and Jeff Dietrick. The theme of this conference was “Apostolic Vision”.

The team had great unity, and flowed together well. All who attended were blessed. This was the first of three events scheduled for 2009.

On February 20 - 22 Jeff ministered to a group of 70 leaders at a mountain retreat center near the city of Oaxaca, Oaxaca. He ministered on apostolic vision, anointing, and Christ centered humility. The presence of God was awesome and God ministered through the teaching of the word and the prophetic.

Jeff and Terri, together with Mike and Susie Chellis are in the developmental stages of a missions ministry designed to promote vision for world missions, organize short term missions trips, aide, support and place Mexican nationals in foreign fields and promote and strengthen apostolic vision within the Fraternidad Cristiana.

Our first official short term missions trip is scheduled for Oct. 2009. We will be taking a group of youth and leaders to southern Spain to work with a Fraternidad missionary.

Please pray for this work and ask God how you can support this ministry.

God Bless, Jeff & Terri
