The Word

John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

Author, C.J.  Mahaney tells us in his book "The Cross Centered Life"

"First importance.  The Bible tells us that, while there are many different callings and many different areas of  service in the kingdom of God, one transcendent truth should define our lives. One simple truth should motivate our work and impact each part of who we are.

Christ died for our sins.

If there is anything in this life that we should be passionate about, it should be the gospel.  And I do not mean only about sharing it with others.  We should be passionate in thinking about the gospel, meditating on it, being delighted in it, permitting it to transform the way we look at the world.  Only one thing should be of first importance to each one of us.  And only the gospel should be.”

John 4:8 For His disciples had gone away into the city to buy food.

9 Then the woman of Samaria said to Him, "How is it that You, being a Jew, ask a drink from me, a Samaritan woman?" For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans.

10 Jesus answered and said to her, "If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, 'Give Me a drink,' you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water."

  • Jesus Christ died on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins which is eternal death and separation from God and man.
  • Jesus Christ has risen from dead to prove himself to be the Son of God and that to all those who believe in Him have hope that they to will rise and live with Him forever.
  • Jesus Christ ascended to heaven and prays for all of humanity that we would repent and believe on Him and love Him the way He loves us.
  • Jesus Christ promised and will return, at the end of time, for all of us who believe and trust Him.

We do not come from the goo! We did not just slime our way into exsistence!

We were created to live in harmony, peace and in love with one and other, and with our loving heavenly Father. That’s the hope, the destiny, the truth for all who believe.

Baptism in San Rafael Caleria

Sunday, July 13, was a joyful day in San Rafael Caleria. The entire church went to a local river to celebrate the baptism of four women. The woman in the photo, Coti, came up praising the Lord, having also received the baptism of the Holy Spirit while she was under water! We returned to the church for praise and worship and took Communion.
After wards, everyone shared a meal and fellowshipped together.

Dietrick Updates

The hot month of July has come and gone, but there was no sipping lemonade and swinging in a hammock at the Dietrick’s house! We renewed our FM3 Renter’s Visas which gives us permission to stay in Mexico another year. This document is renewable each year for 5 years. A tourist visa only lasts 6 months.Terri’s cell phone went through the washing machine and survived with major infirmities. Therefore, all contact should be made through Jeff’s cell phone.

first formal night

Jeff and I celebrated our 26th wedding anniversary on June 12 and we celebrated Jeff’s birthday on July 24. We came home from the birthday celebration in Veracruz to discover our dog, Sherlock, had gotten sick and vomited all over the house. Guess what Jeff’s wish was when he blew out the candles?!

convention - kids ministry 3Children’s Ministry

Over 1200 people attended the 8th National Convention this year. The tent was 60 x 180 feet and it was jam packed every night. It was a time of reunions and renewing relationships with the pastors and families with whom we work. It was also a time of renewal with the Lord through praise and worship and teachings.

New Relationships in Catemaco

On Father’s Day we traveled to Catemaco to visit the church “Open Heavens to the Nations” led by Pastor Justino and his wife Maria. The 3 1/2 hour drive was beautiful! Two students from iBEK went with us. After a short teaching we had a time of prophecy over the church members. It was well received and the accuracy confirmed that it was from the Lord.

       ibek bunkbeds
16 new beds for the dorm rooms.

A generous donation by Dennis, Diane and DavidKilkenny, along with ourselves, helped buy 5 new mattresses for the bunk beds. We donated sheets, towels and toiletries and clothing to be used by the students. We also donated our 15-passenger van to iBEK with the stipulation that we could use it when we have groups. Now they can make all their trips in one vehicle instead of three.

His Harvest is a ministry based in Latin America dedicated to helping prepare men and women to serve the Lord Jesus Christ in their homeland and abroad.

We desire that the good news about Christ be shared in every language, to every nation, people and tribe. That every heart would discover the love of God and come to know the only true Lord and Savior.

We would like to invite you to explore our web site and see what the Lord is doing through this ministry.

His Harvest also offers opportunities for you to join with us in the work. Perhaps your local church would be interested in sending a team to do outreach, medical missions and/or church construction. Sometimes we receive youth who desire to serve with us for an extended short term. You may desire to join with us through prayer and intercession. If any or all of these ministry opportunities look interesting please feel free to contact us.
